Rock-a-thon 2024

The Rock-a-Thon is our biggest, most important, and absolutely most fun (!) fundraiser of the year.
St. Luke's Parish Hall -  Saturday March 16 from 3 PM to 11 PM.

NEW TO THE ROCK-A-THON?

For those of you that haven’t done the Rock-A-Thon before, the premise is simple:  It's part lock-in, part teambuilding, all fun!   
  • We hang out in rocking chairs for 8 hours, with 5 minute breaks every hour. ​
  • Between breaks we rock, play games, get to know each other, eat, and participate in sessions designed to help us learn more about the ASP trip and the people we will serve. 
  • Youth receive 1 hour credit for fundraising per 2 hours rocked, so you can get a maximum of 4 hours credit towards your "hours" target!   
​Many, many sponsors will support this major fundraiser and make it possible for our team to go to Appalachia.   ​

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

To meet our budget, we need to raise $66,800 before the summer. 
16% of our budget depends on a successful 2024 RAT.  
​This year, our goal for the RAT is to reach at least $11,000.  
Youth & leaders should participate, even if you can't be there the whole time.  Use this event to do an appeal to friends and family to support your ASP trip.

Helpful tips:
- Ask for a lump sum, not a per-hour rate.
- Don't be afraid to ask for $100, $200 or $500. This is a big fundraiser, you should do a big ask for this event.
- Tell them why it's important to you.
- Tell them the actual cost for the ASP trip is $1,215 per youth.
